BREMBO

Brembo is an Italian company that was founded in 1961 by Emilio Bombassei and Italo Breda. It all started in a small workshop not far from Bergamo, Italy, just a few kilometers away. The year 1964 is a significant one in Brembo’s history when the company began manufacturing its first brake discs in Italy for the aftermarket. In 1970, Brembo entered the motorcycle component market, but the real turning point came in 1975 when Enzo Ferrari chose Brembo for Formula 1 and introduced Brembo to the world of racing.  

Soon after, their production expanded to cover various brake system components. The company’s expertise and capabilities, along with the quality of its products and services, have gained global recognition. This has positioned Brembo as a leader in the European brake disc market. Today, Brembo has factories in 23 locations worldwide.

  • UV-coated paint targets various parts of the brake disc.

  • High Carbon Disc (HC) is a product development concept introduced as an alternative to Brembo, driven by OE manufacturing. This innovation enhances brake disc volume, performance coefficient, cooling control, and minimizes loss—leveraging Brembo’s proprietary technology and fully integrated in-house foundry process. Today, this innovative brake disc is used in over 1,000 car and truck models worldwide.
  • The PVT system (Pillar Venting Technology) is an innovation patented by Brembo for brake discs derived from OE systems. It uses pillars instead of traditional vanes to control heat and thermal expansion more efficiently, increasing resistance to thermal cracks by up to 40%. The key advantage lies in its ability to reduce granular cracking—an outcome of heat stress—while optimizing thermal management and enhancing internal airflow. This proprietary Brembo technology stands out as a benchmark in the industry.

BREMBO Brake Fluid

Brembo brake fluids are engineered with higher boiling points than standard requirements, offering excellent resistance to vapor lock and maintaining braking efficiency even under intense conditions. They are designed to prevent evaporation-related issues that can lead to reduced brake performance. Available in various formulations to suit all types of vehicles.

  • DOT 4 Features a high vaporization point and lower viscosity, exceeding regulatory standards. Provides outstanding corrosion protection. Ideal for standard everyday vehicles.
  • DOT 4 L.V. (Low Viscosity) Ensures immediate response of advanced safety systems such as ESP. Recommended for modern vehicles equipped with electronic stability control systems and brake assist technologies (ABS, ESP, ACR, TCS, etc.).
  • DOT 5.1 Offers superior thermal resistance and optimal viscosity across a wide temperature range. Especially recommended for high-performance vehicles and models fitted with ABS.
